PE

All classes have PE on a Thursday. Please make sure your child comes into school on this day wearing their P:E kit. 

Our school P:E kit consists of a yellow t-shirt and plain black or grey shorts. Sweatpants can be worn during the colder months but will still need to be black or grey. 

Homework

In year 4 the children will use TT Rock Star for Maths homework and Ed Shed for spelling practise. Children also need to read at home daily and record this in their reading records. Certificates will be given for every 25 read!

In year 4 children will be completing the Multiplication check in June. This is to see whether children can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in Mathematics. Children need to play in the Garage mode on TT Rock stars to help with their multiplication facts.

Their passwords for TT Rockstars and Edshed are in the front of their reading records.

Please ensure your child has their reading book in school everyday. Your child would benefit from reading with an adult every evening. Children will have access to books from the new school library as well and books for fluency practice. Children can change their fluency book when they have finished it.
